Salmon Species on Puget Sound

• Chinook (King) Salmon — June through September and January through March. Average 15 to 50+ lbs. The most prized Pacific salmon, primary target on summer Puget Sound charters.
• Coho (Silver) Salmon — July through October. Average 8 to 15 lbs. Hard-fighting and acrobatic with aggressive strikes and powerful runs.
• Pink Salmon — August through September (odd years only). Average 4 to 8 lbs. Non-stop action, ideal for beginners and families with kids.

Seattle Salmon Season Guide

• January through March: Winter Chinook (Blackmouth) fishery
• June through September: Prime Chinook (King) salmon season
• July through October: Coho (Silver) salmon season
• August through September (odd years): Pink salmon season

All trips follow current WDFW regulations. Captain Cary monitors regulations and run forecasts to keep trips on the best-available fishery.
